Well, I'm surprised I've been asked to leave a review. The product itself is great, if you can get what you want! Firstly Kedel didn't have the colour that I really wanted, not too much of an issue. Delivery was promised for 2 days after order, so waited in and no delivery. No communication from Kedel, gave it another 3 days before calling to find out item hadn't even been sent out. 2 days promised again but didn't turn up for another 5 days. Poor communication (none) and very unhelpful management, although lady taking calls was as helpful as possible. If you can get the item from somewhere else then I suggest you do.
Kedel Response: Sue, our shipping manager, tried to contact Mr Ross on several occasions (from the Wednesday pm of the order) to ask him if he wanted the 3.6 meter piece cutting up into shorter lengths in order to reduce his postage cost from the rather large £43 to something in the region of £20.
Since we did not manage to contact Mr Ross before the Friday following his order, we could not then dispatch the Goods until Monday. The goods actually got despatched on the following Friday 14th, which was indeed poor service. It could have been much quicker if we had been able to get back in touch with Mr Ross before the previous Friday, which we did in an effort to reduce his shipping costs.
I did have a long discussion with Mr Ross’s partner regarding late delivery, and as we don’t make a profit on delivery and as the purchase had been 3 pieces of lumber with quite a low profit margin, and also since Mr Ross says, “ the product is great” I did not feel that his request for a 50% reduction could be justified.
As I told Mr Ross’s partner, we brought this issue up in our weekly Directors' meeting, and have reviewed our shipping procedures to avoid any recurrence of late delivery.
We know that we will not always get it right 100% of the time, but we strive to learn from our mistakes and to continually improve our service and communication.
We are always grateful for feedback positive or negative, which is why we publish all our feedback. However, we do reserve the right of reply.
I would like to apologise again to Mr Ross for this late delivery and hope that he is still delighted with the quality of the product.
